Hi I'm new here. I've posted questions many time about symptoms I've been having and they lead me to fibromyalgia

Where is the best place to go and get tested or whatever. Are we talking neurologist

Hi, Yuffie, and welcome! Most of us have gone to a rheumatologist for our diagnosis. I suggest a board certified rheumatologist who treats fibro patients. There are a few out there in the Dark Ages when it comes to fibro so do ask first.

The doctor should run you through a myriad of tests to rule out other illnesses that share the same symptoms as fibro. There is not a good test for fibro so that's why we have to do this.

Be sure to read Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. There are good links about fibro and you will learn a lot there. Good starting links are Symptoms, What Else Could It Be, and A Thorough Exp,a nation of Fibromyalgia. You just might see yourself there. All of Fibro 101 is good so do read it.

confused hopefully after all the info I get here and can give to a rheumatologist I will have an answer in a few weeks. I have dealt with the degenerative disc disease now for a few years. The pain in my muscles of my shoulders has become chronic. I go to a pain management clinic but I don't know if he really knows my pain. nono

I think I have fibro....I dn't think my doctor is listening to me.

Lol no worries. I know the feeling. If my ipad and phone didn't have auto correct I would be in trouble.
