Sad News About Crazy Kitty (Robin)

This is Robin's daughter, Jenny. Robin passed away peacefully yesterday morning, May 10. Here is a copy of her obituary:

Robin Loughran passed away peacefully on May 10, 2014 at her home in Van Buren, AR. Robin was born on May 14, 1952, in Norfork, VA, the daughter of Gerald and Phyllis (Villemure) Westerman. She married James Loughran in Green Bay, WI on Valentine’s Day, 1981.



Robin enjoyed reading, gardening, and writing. Her poetry is a reflection of who she was and inspires all that read it. She had a sense of adventure and loved to travel. She lived in five different states making great friends at all her stops. One of Robin’s special gifts was that as a caregiver. Her life work was helping others. She found great joy in supporting others with the same medical conditions that she faced. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She spent special times with her granddaughter, Leah.



Robin is survived by her husband, James Loughran of Van Buren, AR; daughter Jennifer Vanden Hogen and her husband Michael, Little Chute, WI; and granddaughter Leah Vanden Hogen. She is also survived by her mother Phyllis Westerman, Green Bay, WI; and siblings Blake Westerman, Ames, IA; Patti (Ron) Richardson, Green Bay, WI; Tracy (Joe) Ladick, Evansville, WI; and Jim (Clare) Westerman, De Pere, WI.



She is preceded in death by her father Gerald Westerman and her brother Michael Westerman.

Funeral services and Mass for Robin will be held at St John Nepumocene Catholic Church, Little Chute, WI on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and Mass will begin at 11:00 am.



The family would like to thank the oncology doctors and nurses at Sparks Cancer Center along with the caring staff at Peachtree Hospice. Memorials may be made to Peachtree Hospice, 2910 Jenny Lind Rd #4, Fort Smith AR 72901.

My dad and I would like to thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. Mom enjoyed coming on the forum and connecting with each and everyone of you.

I'm so sorry for your loss...OUR loss. We love Robin a lot and will miss her. But, I will be posting her poetry occasionally here so she will to continue to touch members with fibro.

She is at peace and with her family and friends who went before her. My prayers are with you

Thank you so much for thinking of writing to us. I hope your family finds peace with your loss very soon. It was so thoughtful of you to remember your Mom's interest in this forum so soon, and on Mother's day. Not to take the focus off Robin, but Kudos to you for letting her share this part of her life with you.

My dad also passed on May 10th ( 2006). I will always think of Robin, as I do my dad especially on this date.

Robin was so incredibly kind, patient and wise. I will sure miss her...good to know she had so many people around her who loved her.

Jenny, thanks for thinking of us at this sad time. Robin was greatly loved & she'll be greatly missed. Sherrine, I hope you do post some of Robin's poetry. She often shined a bright light on an otherwise gloomy day. We love you Robin, Azgram

She was an inspiration to me & always enjoyed reading her posts. I will miss talking with her...

I still often think of picking up the phone & telling my mom about something that happened in my life.. it has been over 15 yr since I could do that: so, instead I tell her in my prayers.

How wonderful that Robin touched so many lives. Her love will live on in you Jenny.
