Robin Loughran passed away peacefully on May 10, 2014 at her home in Van Buren, AR. Robin was born on May 14, 1952, in Norfork, VA, the daughter of Gerald and Phyllis (Villemure) Westerman. She married James Loughran in Green Bay, WI on Valentine’s Day, 1981.
Robin enjoyed reading, gardening, and writing. Her poetry is a reflection of who she was and inspires all that read it. She had a sense of adventure and loved to travel. She lived in five different states making great friends at all her stops. One of Robin’s special gifts was that as a caregiver. Her life work was helping others. She found great joy in supporting others with the same medical conditions that she faced. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She spent special times with her granddaughter, Leah.
Robin is survived by her husband, James Loughran of Van Buren, AR; daughter Jennifer Vanden Hogen and her husband Michael, Little Chute, WI; and granddaughter Leah Vanden Hogen. She is also survived by her mother Phyllis Westerman, Green Bay, WI; and siblings Blake Westerman, Ames, IA; Patti (Ron) Richardson, Green Bay, WI; Tracy (Joe) Ladick, Evansville, WI; and Jim (Clare) Westerman, De Pere, WI.
She is preceded in death by her father Gerald Westerman and her brother Michael Westerman.
Funeral services and Mass for Robin will be held at St John Nepumocene Catholic Church, Little Chute, WI on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and Mass will begin at 11:00 am.
The family would like to thank the oncology doctors and nurses at Sparks Cancer Center along with the caring staff at Peachtree Hospice. Memorials may be made to Peachtree Hospice, 2910 Jenny Lind Rd #4, Fort Smith AR 72901.
