He was about 40, very nice, was mind/body/spirit oriented (integrative medicine) but seemed to read off the fibromyalgia handout a lot. I think he might have even said he didn't know much about it.
Disappointing!
I asked about muscle relaxers and he said to stay with my antidepressant even though I said pain relief was my number one concern.

I'm sorry to hear about
this experience. Just from reading around the boards over the last few weeks I have noticed that so many people coping with fibromyalgia are stressed by frustrating interactions with doctors. Do you find that many or most doctors out there are lacking when it comes to fibromyalgia treatment? Are there any resources out there for finding doctors who have competency around the needs of fibromyalgia patients?
