I posted a few weeks ago I purchased a ultrasound  hand-held machine for Fibro.  I received it a week ago, and decided to experiement.  I treated only one side of my body for 6 days, 3x's a day.  I did not treat the other side where I had the exact pain.  I noticed a significant improvement on the left side.  I would say atleast 60% improvement. This morning I did not use it

and the pain on the treated side was a little bit noticeable.  I am going to try the right side this week and see if I get the same results. As I have mentioned, I cannot use narcotics, and over the counter meds dont even touch the pain.  So for now, I am completely satisfied with this pain relieving method and plan on using it every day, or every other day.

Hi Tootie, I had not heard of the ultrsound til I looked it up. What kind of gel are you using???

 

We are all the time experimenting with different things on here. idea

The gel came with the machine, but only one bottle which is good for 30-40 treatments.  The gel has peppermint, eucalpytus, menthol and lavender in it. When I am out of the gel, I will order from www.Mendme.com , where I purchased the ultrasound.  The gel has to be used with the ultrasound.

The results are very favorable for me.  You might want to check it out

Are you able to use the ultrasound on yourself?  I'm always looking for things that I can do myself and not have to enlist the help of someone else.  smilewinkgrin

Yes, I can use the ultrsound on my self, since most of my pain is in my hips,lower back and thighs.  It is a very light weight wand.  I lay on the bed and just rub the wand with the gel over both hips and thighs. I can usually reach all the sore spots.  I have used it on my shoulder and neck as well.

It has truly helped me.  You can call the representative at www.mendme.com and they can tell you all about is.  Very nice people, and several of their customers have Fibro

I was in a medical store buying a cane when I saw a customer buying the ultrasound. I asked about it. It seem like people were getting old results from it. Used for all kinds of diagnoses.

As long as you don't leave the ultrasound wand on the same spot for too long, you'll do well. When my father hurt his shoulder, his doctor's nurse burned my dad's shoulder by doing exactly that.
