Well I'm back from seeing my new rheumy.....
I've got RA.

I'm sorry, Joy. Just what you needed!
Did you think you might have it, or were you totally surprised?

Hi joy,
This is so much more treatable than when my mom had it...
Dr mercola online has articles on this. I seem to remember him wanting d levels optimized....but i glanced over the article , so i just remember it was very encouraging.
I am trying to imagine fibro, lyme, and RA together...hugs and hearts

Ughhhh Joy not what you wanted to hear. You deal with enough already geesh. Where is it exactly? I have a friend whom has it just in an ankle. Well I do hope the med you're starting helps, heck I hope it somehow helps dull other symptoms from the lupus and Fibro. Thinking of you. Keep us posted on treatment outcome.
Hugs xxxxx

Awww, Joy, you've got to stop this now! You know, though this is probably why you have been in more pain. It wasn't fibro or lupus.
My back problem is a rheumatoid-type illness and that muscle relaxer really made a difference for me. Your new medication will help, too. They have quite a few things on the scene for RA these days so I bet you will feel better and better once the medication takes hold. At least you know what you are dealing with.
Thanks for letting us know and expect less pain!

That's not the news you (or we) wanted to hear, Joy, but know we're all here for you. Please keep us posted as to how you're feeling and the new med is working. Wish you the best--hang in there! Sending prayers for you.

Sometimes RA will tag along with Lupus (like fibro does).
I suspected I had it. He just confirmed my feelings.
It seems to be in many of my joints already. :-(
I'm hoping the new med helps me.

Joy, you'll be in my prayers. At least you know what you're battling now (in addition to all the others).

Thank you, guys, for the good thoughts and prayers.
I'm a little shell-shocked but I will bounce back. My therapist says I'm good at rolling with the punches.
I'll have my pity party for awhile and then get back into the ring for a second round. ;-)
