Yum...Holiday Fibro Fog!

I take Ibuprofen for pain...that's it. When I go out for the day, I put a handful of animal crackers in my pocket to eat before take the pills so I won't burn a hole in my stomach. Yesterday I was waiting for a friend in a seating area in a store...several other strangers were seated there also. My hips were killing me so got the Advil and bottle of water out of my purse, grabbed a handful of crackers and stuffed them in my mouth. Only problem is, they were NOT animal crackers. They were small dog biscuits. I was surrounded by people and had no napkin so I ate them. They tasted like driveway gravel. Serioulsy, why my dogs beg for these is beyond me.

Two red boxes in the kitchen cabinet. It's the same reason I made an apple pie with paprika instead of cinnamon...red containers.

Grabbed baking soda instead of cornstarch once to make gravy. Both yellow boxes... Well my gravy went spastic... Bubbles all over the place. Ha!!!

That was before fibro too... Ha!!!

ROTFL!!!!!!! This is hysterical. It made my morning. SORRY Donna that had to taste terrible. I at least hope they were Milk Bones so you got your vitamin D for the day!

I've had many foggy moments but I think the dog biscuits tops them all. Yuck! :-p

Today it dawned on me I hadn't had a bath since Thursday! How's that for fog. Thank goodness I haven't had to go anywhere.

I can see myself doing that so easily...hmmm, wonder why? I've done this, unfortunately, with pills in my pocket - the wrong pills. No harm done, but - kinda scary.

I went shopping on Black Friday. When I got home I took a nap. When I woke up I couldn't find a gray scarf I bought. As a last resort I asked my husband where it was. He said I had one in my hand but I didn't buy it.

Geesh. Never a dull moment with fibro.

Enjoyed the story about the dog treats. I've almost eaten dog treats from my pocket and thought a doggie do do bag was a tissue and brought it up to my nose.

Too funny! I introduced myself at thanksgiving to a new person visiting with us as my sons sister instead of mother. Wow! Why I said that I don't know! You goy too love this fibro fog!

At my dr. appointment today, I didn't realize I had my shirt on inside out until I took off my sweater to get my blood pressure checked. At least they believe me about my fibro fog!

On my way there, I couldn't remember which route to take, the road for the dr. office, and had to reroute midway...

Also, when I checked out and we were talking about my next appointment, I couldn't for the life of me say anything with any sense! Gargly garble. They must be used to it because the receptionist just gently told me to take my time!

I didn't have as much pain or stiffness this morning, but wowza massive brain fog today. This makes it so hard to work, especially mornings. People misconstrue it as laziness and it's not!

As someone who is new to the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia, I so do appreciate people still having a sense of humor! This def made my night! I have had some "fibro fog" moments for sure but nothing to write about yet.... :) You have given me hope...lol

That looking at lists, directions, etc. and not knowing where to go next, what to do, getting confused is utterly exasperating!

My FibroFumble of the day yesterday was this. I had bought a small container of eye gel for my dry eyes, a tiny little thing. I had brought the box to my bed, I had thought, and opened it and set it down (apparently). The sheets weren't on my bed as I was washing them.

When I was ready to use the stuff, I couldn't for the life of me find it. I enlisted my daughter in the search, banged my head on the wall to attempt to access the memory log of what I had done with the box. After 20 minutes of an unsuccessful search, I threw myself on my bed in resignation, sheets now on, and I felt a lump under my arm. Yup. I had put my sheets on overtop the box...

Boy, did I feel thtoopid!!!!

Donna and Tango, your clothing comments brought to mind an incident I had a few years ago. I was headed on a trip with my travel group, had gotten to the airport with the group, throught check-in, and on the flight when the travel agent pointed out that the price tag of my new sweater that I was wearing was hanging from the armpit. Who looks for price tags in the armpit? I do now!

I love these stories. These are all things I would do. LOL

Donna, you need to repeat your story about your jeans at the casino. LOL. I still laugh over that.

Okay Sherrine-I'll tell the casino story now that this thread is probably not going to get anymore views.....LOL! Sometimes you don't even want your fibro buddies to realize how stupid you are!

I went to a casino with a few girlie friends on the ride there, I felt something 'tight' around my calf. I thought it was just a fibro symptom as I often get that sensation that I have an ace bandage wound too tight around my legs and arms. When we got out of the car in the parking garage, this annoying sensation moved to my ankle. I kept walking, telling myself it was going to be another fibro day from Hell. We stood in line and got free plays...walked around for about twenty minutes looking at the machines. I suddenly noticed the sensation was gone. But my friend was laughing her head off. It wasn't her that pointed out what was so funny...it was a male player at a machine. I looked down to discover I had been dragging a pair of underpants through the entire length of the casino the floor. They had gotten stuck in the leg of my jeans in the dryer and worked their way down.

My friends must be used to the things I do...they all laugh before they tell me anything.
