First off finally got my insurance card in the mail and got my first doctor appoinment with my doctor on Feb 6th. Second i've been meaning to ask this question for a few days now but a lot has been going on over here including a small fire that happen in my apartment the other night (thankfully all is okay) but lately i've been noticing that i get over heated at night time when i am trying to sleep. I feel like i am often burning up real bad and i also feel like i got a bad sun burn all over my body. Does anyone else sometimes feel that way? I hate it so much cause it can be like really cold in the apartment but i will feel real hot and over heated.

sounds like your body thermostat is acting up. have you had your thyroid checked lately?

Not yet. My insurance does not come into effect until next month. Of course from what i have read the sun burn feeling is normal with fibro

Yes, I feel that way most evenings and sometimes during the day.
I've "chalked" it up to natural menopause because I had a hysterectomy 15 years ago and went thru surgical menopause because I never heard anyone else complain of symptom. Now, you have me wondering confused It isn't nothing like "hot flashes" it's more like intense heat - all night.
Dr. adjusted thyroid medicine last year so I don't think that's it but will be getting checked again soon.
My husband keeps turning heat to 70 and I keep turning it to 67 - constant battle.
I'm now curious to see if there are others experiencing this. Would like to know what your Dr. says.

When I am "flaring" as I call it, I feel as if my face is burning. When the burn goes away, the flare is usually over. But it seems to me that all of us have similar, yet different feelings that come and go. It must be some screwed-up processing mechanism, a very unscientific theory, but that's how it seems to me.

I read on line that a lot of people feel like they got a sun burn on their body and can feel it real good when they put shirts on. That is how i am. My body will feel so over heated that even if it's cold outside i will feel like i am in a 100 degree weather.

I haven't had the full-body sunburn feeling, but the last few months I've been waking up to my feet feeling like they are on fire/ sunburnt. I often get that feeling on my face, as well.
