I thought I ought to throw in a light hearted post to balance my glum ones.

Sometimes when I'm feeling rough (or not!), I pick up one of my sweeties and have a cuddle fest. My fuzzy Miso likes to curl up in my lap, or chest if I'm in bed, and he purrs, squeaks, and nuzzles me. If I am up in the middle of the night, I may have a relaxing squeak session with him. He's a love bug and I always feel so one with the universe when I am holding him. His contentment carries over to me. :)

Our fur babies can really ease our stress. My cat knows when I feel bad and curls up on me on bad days. The purring is very relaxing.
My mother had knee surgery four days ago and has been pretty much bed bound. My cat keeps trying to sneak up on to her bed to cuddle with her. (It's off limit to him) 😆

Yes, my daughters cat would always curl up against a painful area..she seemed to sense exactly where the pain was...so she usually snuggled my back...but my daughter came in with a sprained ankle and the cat worried over that ankle like a mother hen...the ankle is not a normal cat spot..so how did she know?

I am allergic to them , but love cats!! At night i would pile her stuffed toys ..and each morning would wake up to them all in a parade down the hall with always her favorite in the front.

I'm sitting on my bed with one of our cats curled up beside me sleeping. They are wonderful gifts from God, aren't they!!😻

Jen, I didn't realize guinea pigs could be so loving!! That's great. Animals are the best, aren't they?

We have 2 dogs, one of whom is a real cuddle bunny. But the best for me was my cat, Tom, who's no longer with us...he was Mr. Mellow. To hold him in your lap was to know peace.

Ljm, that's funny, your cat making a trail of her toys!

Tom would pry open the cabinet under the sink and grab a sponge with his mouth. Then he'd walk through the house making that "mwaa" sound - we'd hear him getting closer and closer - and when he reached the living room he'd drop it in front of us, like "see what I hunted!" Sometimes he'd do it with aluminum foil or a twistie-tie. A few times it turned out to be a bird or mouse, and then it wasn't so funny.

Lol i had a theory that if i gave her this to do overnight, she might stay out of trouble : ) didn't always work...

Animals are so much fun , except for allergies , i would have made a great cat lady.. Ha ha

I too have wonderful fur babies--cats. Mr Romeo is always by my head at nite. When I used to have migraines he was always by my side. The last few weeks he has started cuddling on my chest like he did as a kitten. Tigger is my funny boy. He chases imaginary things and brings his toys to bed for a game of fetch. One time it was a real mouse-dead. They both bring me great joy especially on my worst days. They are grisly a gift.

My two fur babies are Madison & Chloe - a pair of tiny toy poodles that combined only weigh about 10 pounds. They follow me around room to room like little shadows and wherever I sit they want to be in my lap. If I lay down they snuggle up on top of me and make wonderful little heaters.

Sometimes my husband will lay down on the floor and they will hop up on his back and be a great little 10 pound puppy massage. :)

I don't have pets. Do have a hard time looking after me and my Husband, who helps a lot. A few Christmases ago my Sister and Brother-in-law asked us if we would mind their cat, Missy, when they went to visit my Niece. They brought her over for our Christmas Eve celebration with her food and stuff.

Well, Missy had a great time at our house. She would sit under the coffee table on the carpet. She loved getting petted with my Husband's feet. I played with her in the day to keep her moving. I noticed the ingredients of her food had a supplement that I use from my Osteoarthritis. They do get some of the same ailments as people. We did have a cat, dog, hamsters and fish when my son was young. We didn't open the bedroom doors for Missy. I am not a fan of pets sleeping with me. On the day she was to go home she ran upstairs. Our Bedroom door was slightly ajar. She ran in and quickly went under the bed. Coaxed her out with a toy. She was not quite ready to go home. Sadly, Missy died in the Spring of the following year. I do still give my Teddy Bear a hug. Always loved stuffed animals.

My fur babies are pet rats. They can always put a smile on my face even when I feel horrible. They are quite friendly creatures and they each have their own personalities believe it or not. They love to curl up with you and if you feel bad they always come to see if you are ok. I am a horse person but I can't do that anymore because of fibro, so I have settled for rats... Can be a little tough when it comes to cleaning the cage sometimes though.

We love our pets and they give so much to us!
Mine is a golden retriever now but there have been many before her.
On my worse days I still get up to take her for a walk and I always feel better afterwards.
