I haven't been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but I believe that's where I'll be headed since every blood test and scans have come out fine. I've had several MRI's for pain all over. Headaches and eye twitching- normal Head MRI. Arms tingling and going numb at night - normal brachial plexus MRI. Ribcage pain - Normal chest MRI. Colon spasms and on/off diarrhea - Normal colonoscopy. Heartburn - normal endoscopy. Back pain - normal cervical and thoracic spine MRI.

I am so frustrated with not getting any answers and I think my doctor thinks I'm just a big hypochondriac. My legs are now starting to ache and I have pain in my hands like I have carpal tunnel or arthritis, but no swelling. My right eye twitches underneath, I wake up with full body ache like I've got the flu. I feel feverish, but no fever. I'm tired all the time and my ribs at the side are always sore. But I looked at tender points for fibromyalgia and side ribs isn't a tender point. So I'm at a loss.

I'm just wondering if anyone out there has these symptoms and if you've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I don't know what else to do from here. I've been pressing all the tender points on the fibromyalgia chart, and I don't seem to have 11 out of 18. So does everyone with fibromyalgia need to have at least 11 out of 18?

I have some of the symptoms that you describe but I cannot diagnose you. I am not a Doctor. I know how frustrating it is when you have many symptoms but cannot find out the cause. It sounds like you have had many tests and x-rays etc. It is not normal to have diarrhea. If it continues you will have to check back with your Doctor. I do have Osteoarthritis in a number of joints. By the time it shows up on x-rays it is already in an advanced stage, I have read. It is a good thing that arthritis is not in the picture yet.

I was not really diagnosed with Fibromyalgia as there is no test for it. A Neurologist said to me that I would hear Fibromyalgia mentioned by Doctors. He felt he could not help me, thought most of my problems were due to arthritis.

I have been poked many times by Doctors and often times I can't say that they are finding a tender point. I, however, on my own find points that will cause pain to touch. I have many different kinds of pain and in many parts of my body. Thankfully, not all at once.

Keep notes on your symptoms and continue telling your Doctors what is happening. I hope in time you will get diagnosed. There is much info in Fibro 101 that you can read.

I am sure others will offer suggestions.

Who have you been seeing for all these tests? A PCP? A gastro or another specialist? Gastro docs will not know about Fibro. Some PCPs can be helpful--others will not be.

A rheumatologist is usually the specialist most well-versed in FMS. Ask your doctor for a referral if you haven't already been to one. MAKE SURE your test results and charts are in the doctor's hands by the time you have your appointment. Walk them over if you must.

The colon stuff falls into the IBS category, which can be a part of fibro. Stress and diet can play a huge part in these symptoms. I was diagnosed with UC (Ulcerative Colitis) before I was diagnosed with fibro. (spasms, pain, severe diarrhea, bleeding, gas, vomiting, etc...) A clean colonoscopy/endoscopy eliminates many of the colon diseases for you, so I would focus more on others issues.

I have most of these symptoms. The rib pain is associated with costocondritis. You may want to read more about this as it is associated with fibro.

I've had all of these symptoms at some point, and at some points many of them. That doesn't mean it's Fibro, just that I wouldn't rule it out based on the symptoms. Keep in mind that when dx'ing Fibro it's about a lot more than just tender points.

I too have had most of these symptoms at some point and I've only just recently begun to notice more tender point pain after all this time so not everyone has the same symptoms but I agree with the others that you should try to be seen by a rhuemy. Best of luck to you and I hope you get some answrrs soon.

Tainly a lot of your symptoms match. Just work with a good doc to get the help you need
