Yes, I also went through a grieving process when I was first diagnosed with Fibro.
When I was finally accepting my new fibro "lifestyle", I lost my 21 yr. old son in a car accident. So, out the door accepting the Fibro Diagnosis went with it. I started the grieving process all over for my Son and for my Pre-Diagnostic Fibro life. I didn't know how I'd survive day to day.
Then, my younger son announced that I was going to be a Grandmother and at that point, my desire for living and acceptance was restored. To this day, just thinking about
my 9 year old Granddaughter or saying her name spreads a large smile across my face.
I Thank God daily for carrying me through those rough times and for blessing me with 3 granddaughter's and 1 grandson.
When I start to get angry:
1. I pray for forgiveness and help.
2. Genuinely think of less fortunate people, there are so many that have
worse illnesses, whether physically or mentally.
3. Think or read something happy & uplifting or watch a comedy.
4. Sing ...... (no, not out loud unless I'm home alone - they'd carry me
away to the funny farm if anyone heard how bad I sound!!)
Everyone needs to find what works to help them through it. Don't give up trying, you'll find something that helps and when you do, you'll cling to it.
