Hello,
So I've been seeing my doctor to try and get my symptoms somewhat managed. We've definitely made some progress with some of my symptoms but some have been unaffected.
I'm currently taking 600mg of gabapentin three times a day. It seems to help with some of my muscle pain/ and spasms, but not completely. My doctor is comfortable increasing the gabapentin all the way to 1200mg three time a day, but I just don't feel like a higher dose will do more at this point. (Anyone have expiriences with higher doses?)
The worst pain is more of a deep down to the bones pain. At times it feels like my spine and other bones are in vice grips. Ive thought this could just be extreme muscle tension/compression, but am starting to think its something else. We're trying to get a lumbar mri scheduled but insurance is dragging their feet to look the request over for approval.
I am currently taking vitamin d, magnesium malate, fish oil, folic acid and probiotics as supplements.
Thanks for any insight :)
gentle hugs
Hello cherrybomb7 I know exactly what that feeling is like, there are times when the pain in esp my back, legs, feet, arms, neck, heck whole body feel like the pain is literally coming from inside my bones. It's so hard to describe. When I bend over my back feels like its on fire. Just laying down hurts, the ONLY thing that has helped me was my heating pad and when I've taken valium or strong narcotic (which I only get at the hospital when I go, waiting on pain managment at the moment to get back to me they are reviewing my case as I am newly diagnosed). I had an lumbar MRI and I wouldnt be surprised if when and if you do get one done they tell you, you also have degenerative spine disc disease which is what I was also diagnosed with along with 4 bulging discs. I am only 29 and have cried every day since I was told because I thought it was going to be something they could do a surgery and fix, all this time I thought the pains were coming from my back like a nerve was pinched causing all the other pains...but to now know this is a permanant thing has me so depressed. Good luck with everything!
