Bethmom,
Whatever else happens and no matter what you do have, I think all of us have been there. It is hard to believe in yourself and to keep trying with doctor after doctor when you are feeling like they dont believe you anyway.
Be confident in yourself and write everything down in whatever fashion works for you. It is easy to forget all the day to day pains. If you write it all down, you may notice patterns that you missed before. It also can help you remind yourself that this is not a one time thing. You know how you are feeling. The doctors can tell you what they see, but they cant tell you how you feel.
It also seems to help with some docs if you write everything down. You can hand them the history and also have it in front of you to plan and answer questions.
Is there a possibility for you to go to Cleveland Clinic or Mayo Clinic? They both have options to go in and get a team to review your case and help you in one day. I recently foudn out that my healthcare will cover that. I was very surprised. There was no place to look it up on their website. The reason I found out about this is that my health insurance offers case managers for long term, complicated or chronic pain. These people are usually NPs snd they are there to help you work through issues trying to navigate the medical maze. Is it possible your plan has something similar? I had heard that other plans were offering something simiar and sometimes better.
Take care of yourself and have faith in yourself. If you need to, take a break for a few days. But keep believing in what you know to be true. We have all been there to one extent or another and it is worth it to find the right doc.
