First few weeks on Cymbalta

I started on Cymbalta about 3 weeks ago. I was really nervous about starting it because of some of the things I read about reactions people have had with it. I am responding very well to it. I have noticed that my fibro pain has lessened a lot. It still hurts if certain spots are pressed. Last week was a really busy, and stressful week for me. Thursday I went to the wake of someone I considered my second dad. His family was the one who introduced me to my husband almost 30 years ago. His funeral was Friday. Then we had a memorial service for a young man on Saturday. Sunday was church. I worked for 5 hours in the church nursery. Sunday night we went to a restaurant to celebrate both my husband and daughter's birthdays. I really thought I would be wiped out, and in a lot of pain. I felt my body starting to flare, but the pain was well maintained by the Cymbalta. I was exhausted, but the pain was manageable. I was pleasantly surprised. I hope it continues. I have a follow up with the rheumatologist tomorrow. I think the visit will go well, and maybe he will wait longer to schedule the next appointment.

I've been taking Cymbalta for years. I went on vacation and forgot it and oh man the pain -- especially getting out of bed.

I just started it as well on 6/22. Glad to hear it is helping. I also am finding it to be of huge help. I was very reluctant, but the combination of that and Lyrica seems to be making a huge difference.
