Hi Friends. For nearly a year, I was doing well in terms of my flares not getting in way of working etc., then I had a relapse and had a severe 3-month flare up. Since this, will call it a relapse for a lack of a better term, it doesn't take much for me to slip back into another. Can anyone speak to the experience of having flare after flare after a big relapse?

I've heard that people with fibro have compromised immune systems. By eating healthy, keeping as active as possible, and I believe taking the right supplements we can try to keep our immune systems stronger.

When I've gone off of my supplements in the past, it seems as if I get even weaker and come down with cold symptoms. I haven't had a cold in years.

Thank you for replies and info!. I'm not necessarily getting viruses and colds, just flare after flare. I just wonder if this is common for a little while after major flare up and if anyone can speak to a similar experience?

Thx, asd! Me too. Lol but this space in time is odd. I am just in a flare up a lot and I am not coming out from this delicate place, yet. I think I could be answering own question---think my body crashed hard and its ultra sensitive and therefore, I keep slipping back into one. Has this ever happened to you or anyone?

SignaturePink, you might want to try seeing a cranial sacral massage therapist for tight muscles or a chiropractor if you're out of alignment.

Asdf23, you may want to look into a PT doctor who specializes in the pelvic floor. You may have tight pelvic floor muscles like I did.

I really appreciate your concern asd and and almost medfree. I know you're trying to help. I am working with medical professionals, whom I have the utmost trust in, who are helping me with my treatment plan. I know I'll eventually get to a stronger place. What I'm looking for from the forum is whether there is someone else out there going through a rough spot like me and to determine if this is normal to be in and out of so many flares after a major one? I apologize if I miscommunicated what I'm looking for.

If you're having a hard time with constant pain and all you need to visit your doctor.
Extreme stress kept me flaring at first until I reduced it. Also it turned out my autoimmune diseases would acted up triggering my fibromyalgia flares.

I. The summer and the winter I used have constant flares...not just a bunch of little flares. Basically my pain levels were higher and constant to the point of being several months long. It gets old fast, doesn't it!

I started eating two condiments last fall and haven't had the constant flares since and my pain levels have been cut in half. One of the products works like NSAIDS without having the side effects you get from the medication. I talk about it in the Diet and Food Discussions thread which I'll bump up for you. Thank you so much for this info! We are speaking about the dill pickles and green olives? Do olives need to be green or can I do black? I will definitely try this. Appreciate your sharing your experience with long flare ups.

Both black and green help but the green ones are best and that's what I eat...the large queen thrown ones.
