Hi Everyone,

I thought it would be fun to share ideas what some of us use to help ourselves feel better with the use of essential oils.

Peppermint oil: Mix a few drops with unscented lotion in the palm of our hand and rub it into the bottom of our feet at bedtime.

For those of us who are sensitive to room spray:

Put distilled water, 1/2 tablespoon of witch hazel (astringent), and ten drops or more of any scented oil (I use lemon) into a small spray bottle, shake, and use as a room spray.

I have been buying doterra essential oils and I use them everyday. Right now I have a cold with lots of mucus, ears full etc. I tried oregano oil on the bottom of my feet and diffused it. It really alleviate symptoms today.
I am also using Breathe in one of those vapor inhalers.
I use peppermint for migraines.
Lavender to help with sleep.
Wild orange for mood lifting.
Lemon in my vacuum cleaner. Smells terrific.
Frankincense or On Guard for immune health.
And I will continue to try others. I believe in essential oils.

I also use Two Old Goats for fibromyalgia pain. (Not Doterra)

My SIL makes a mix of peppermint and lavender oil in simple lotion for her mom to rub into sore joints.

Thanks for the good tips, sawa and Joy. You have given me some new ideas.

Isn't it strange that I like the smell of certain scents but not others. I don't like the smell of rose scent or the smell of lavender scent.

The rose scent reminds me of a strong room spray my mother always had in her bathroom. Maybe the lavender scent reminds me of a strong lavender soap I didn't like in my past. Interesting. I would have to say that lemon scent is my favorite of them all so far.

I use Immune Strength in a spray, which I believe is similar to Thieves. I also use Pain Ease, which is a blend of different oils to help reduce pain, in a roller ball to help with my tension headaches.

I would love to try more of these, but they are still a bit pricey for the ones I would consider pure. The brand I have currently been using is Native American Nutritionals, which have combined with Rocky Mountain Oils. I haven't ordered anything for awhile, so I may need to check out some new ideas in the New Year.
