Hello. I am new to all this so please bear with me if I sound like I don't know what I'm talking about
.
A little intro. I am a relatively healthy 47 years old mother of 2. I don't excersise excessively but I try to do Bikram Yoga once a week and I do a lot of walking as well as I have a ton of steps to climb just to get to my house. I'm in relatively good shape. I was very active in my 20's because I worked at a gym and was an instructor for many years. I suffer from migraines, mostly in the winter and I've had ringing in my ears for a year now.

2 weeks ago one day I suddenly felt horrible. The only way to describe it is this muscle burning fatigue all over my body (that feeling you get when you work out excessively) then came the pain in my ligaments, the elbows, shoulders, hips as well as muscle pain. The first pain I noticed was in my lower back then my lower abs, it felt as if I had spent an entire day lifting boxes. The only activity I recall doing was vacuuming my house. How did I end up getting so sore? Why are my muscles so fatigued? Why is it so hard for me to lift my arms? Why is my brain in a fog? Why do I suddenly have the need to urinate to often? Why are my breast so sore for so long? Why am I having trouble falling asleep? What is this rash on my stomach? All these questions have been going through my head as I keep waiting for my body to get back to "normal". Today I finally bit the bullet and googled "lactic acid without exercising" and it led me to an article about
Fibromyalgia. I had a suspicion but I did not want to believe. I know I'm not feeling like myself, I know this pain is not due to excersise. After more researching I came across this awesome site. So thank you all for the invaluable information and support you offer here.
My question is, is it too early to go see my doctor or should I put up with this for a few more weeks and see if it clears up? I'm so uncomfortable and confused. Thank you for reading this.
Edited to add the link I found when I googled "lactic acid buildup without excersise" http://www.drmyhill.co.uk/wiki/Fibromyalgia_-_possible_causes_and_implications_for_treatment
