I agree with luvsminis, that you might want to see your doctor or dentist if it's really bothering you. There are a lot of causes of burning tongue, including dry mouth, vitamin deficiencies, menopause, and oral allergy syndrome. Do you notice that it's worse after eating certain foods? You might want to keep a food diary to see if there is a connection. Also, sprays don't really help me either, but I put biotene gel in my mouth before I go to sleep. It seems to help more than anything. As does drinking lots of water and avoiding acidic foods. I also use ACT dry mouth toothpaste with Xylitol. It seemed like regular toothpaste was irritating my mouth, and that seemed to help too.
