Hi Everyone,
Just had a question for the ladies in the forum -
I've noticed that my fibro tends to flare around the time of my period every month. It starts a few days before and then when it finally happens, my cramps (which have always been bad) have been completely out of control and leave me bed-ridden and unable to function. It also seems to cause my whole body to buzz with pain - From my hands to the bottoms of my feet.
Does anyone else experience this?

For sure..my fibro was always so much more severe then.
Many fibro specialists pay attention to and work with balancing hormones..
I studied it and self treated with a cream, i would never take synthetic hormones..

I gave some info that might be helpful in this thread about
bone pain.

Yes most definitely! I had cramps before fibro but now I don't think I even feel cramps anymore just intense nerve pain.
For awhile it started a week before my period now I can count on it two weeks before my period. The nerves flare up from my feet , ankles up to my hips , tailbone , pelvic.
I've been searching for natural ways to balance hormones. Essential oils like clary sage and lavender. Also I found a tea called "PMS tea" it helps calm the nerves.

Like Ljm, I used a natural cream. I avoid synthetic hormones, too.
You might want to read a book or two by Dr. John R. Lee M.D. I found his info very useful. I don't know if most doctors are up-to-speed on this info, but you could run it by your doctor.
I tried very hard to avoid both too much salt and sugar, especially premenstrually. Drinking lots of water helped me, too.
Best wishes!
