Hi,
Im new to this forum but Im happy I joined.
My symptoms started about five years ago: limbs numbness, fatigue, depression at first but they have progressed to extreme feet tingling 24/7, night sweats, headaches, sore throat, just an overall feeling that im dying.
I've gone to every specialist I could think of and have had countless tests including brain MRI, various radiology testings of spine, EMG, hundreds of lab tests, even colonoscopy and endoscopy (Im only 34), and every single test would always come back normal.
The feeling of being that sick without having any reasonable explanation is excruciating and depressing.
I started drinking wine almost every night (which makes me feel even worse), gained 40 pounds and cry every other day even at work.
My PCP had finally recommended me to start Savella for fibromialgia. I haven't started yet but was hoping someone could share their experience with this medication.

Hi there! I personally have heard great things about Savella... I took it for 11days and I felt like a new woman, but then it started messing with my heart and actually caused some damage. I went into AFIB and they could not get my heart to get back to a regular sinus rhythm. I still have AIFB all these years later.

But, that being said I am very sensitive to medications.. My 11 days on Savella were fantastic! My pain levels were pretty much gone. It was heaven, and I almost ended up in heaven hahahahahahahaha. I can joke now because its in the past, but Id give it a try. Other meds have messed with my heart too, like migraine meds. So, my heart was always an issue with some medications.

I had read so many good reviews on Savella, and how life changing it was. Signs that I was having trouble, was waking up feeling panicked. It was actually my heart stuck in a really high rate. And I felt my heart beating funny... the day I almost died I was at the hospital with my son and he was having surgery. I asked the nurse to please check my heart that it was crazy, she said Oohhhh your just nervous cus your sons in surgery and would not check it.

Got him home, I knew something was off, because my heart was beating so fast, called the ambulance and then the crazy started.

So, I say try it... Just be aware of things. If your heart has been an issue before, then I think that's a tell tale sign you might have issues. Ohh Effexor was one of the meds that made my heart go nuts too.

I started Savella 10 days ago and had to go to the Emergicenter today. My heart was beating like crazy, sweating, pounding headaches and it also caused a very painful bladder infection. I'm going back on Cymbalta. I hope you have better luck with Savella.
