Post holiday flare

Anyone else?

Wow As we all know, December is so busy...we paced our work and got everything done...had xmas eve here...and xmas day at sisters...

But by the end of xmas day ...i was just a rag doll..lol

Day after i stayed in my robe...

Today i showered and dressed for dinner...lol ...thats progress right?

Ooooh.. I did stretches this evening while we watched tv...it had been so busy i was not stretching and i always pay for that!!

Tomorrow is a whole new day and i will move more than today!!

Like Sherrine, I was very, very sleepy--but it was on the evening of Christmas. I was watching a Hallmark show with my husband, and though I enjoyed the show, I dozed off. Hey-- I never do that! It's so dark this time of the year though, and that, along with cold air, seems to take its toll on people.

Yep, showering and dressing for dinner is progress in my book, Lj. At least you're moving!

I think it just takes us longer to recover from all the things we do during the holidays. Fun stuff, for sure, but oh, so tiring at times.

I think a day or two of R and R is ok, as long as we get ourselves moving again, after..

Sorry about the pre christmas cold elf.😟 this was the first christmas in years that someone was not sick at christmas..a couple christmases ago ,one sister came with the flu, and 11 out of 14 caught it after...what a nice present...nooooo

I usually leave my Christmas tree up until January 6th (the 12th day of Christmas). I do so for religious reasons, and as a bonus, it seems to make cold January a little cheerier---and the month seems shorter.

Company coming this weekend, so nothing is put away yet. Everything stays, but I'll probably very slowly put away the outside decorations later next week--starting about Thursday. It sure is much more fun to put up the tree and decorations than to put them away, isn't it?

A few weeks into January I bring out a few Valentine's Day decorations. One more way to brighten up winter! I definitely live in the wrong climate, but well, at least it's cozy inside.

I got 4 seed/nursery catalogs in the mail so far! Dreaming of Spring already, LOL. A long ways to go!

puppylover: Congratulations on your first grandchild--that's awesome! Boy or girl? I can see why it was the best Christmas ever!

Grandson!!! I think cuddling up to him made me feel better.
Most of my friends have grandchildren so much older- college age or getting married.

At 71 I love finally having a grandbaby!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a blessed Christmas.

I am beginning to think I'll never have grandchildren either, Sherrine. My older daughter is getting married this Spring, but I can't quite picture her slowing down with work for quite a while. Well, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

My pain has been awful since Christmas! I keep thinking it's amping down, then it kicks back into high gear. Just too much ignoring my body in the days leading up to the grand finale, I guess?

I'm going to the pain clinic a week early this month, just because I don't know what else to do. Blegh.

I'm glad most of the rest of you are recovering, though!

Barb, my son doesn't believe in Fibro, either. It hurts, doesnt it?! You'd think they'd know who we are, but sometimes not so much. My daughters are good about it, though they can't actually relate (and that's good.)
