Hello,
I found an earlier thread on this topic to be very helpful - but would still like to hear from others who may be experiencing this new - and horrible sensation. For the past few weeks, and specifically last 5 consecutive nights, I have felt like there is something vibrating all the floors in my house - no matter where I lay down, I felt it. On two different beds, and several sofas. You can imagine how tired I am, with this unresolved issue.
Today I had the plumber by, and the landscape guy. I've tried every physical diagnosis: is the A/C unit, secured by thin metal straps to the underside of my floor, causing the vibrations? Is the water pressure, or somehow the water to new landscaping, causing this? But it's not intermittent, it's been 24/7 no relief.
The one thing that made me feel 'okay, I'm not crazy' was that I was WOKEN UP at 5 am by what I thought was an earthquake - I live in Los Angeles so this would not be far-fetched. That was yesterday and today, and I know and could hear the sprinkler system going. But when two professionals come, listen to pipes, test various things, and say they don't feel the vibrations...I don't know what to think.
My neighbor said she DID feel the vibration on the bed, and my tenant said he could feel 'a tingling in his feet' from the floors. So I would still prefer to believe it is a real physical thing and NOT caused by anxiety, fibromyalgia (which I was diagnosed with 20 years ago but have been living fairly meds- and pain-free), or anything else.
I am re-starting this post to hear what others have experienced, and how they dealt with it. Maybe I am becoming anxious, but after 5 sleepless nights, you kind of don't know if you're coming or going, what's real, what's imagined, you know?
It feels, as others have mentioned, like a big truck or train is rumbling by, and you feel the vibrations. I don't hear any humming, it's not localized to any one part or side of my body. I do live next to a freeway and who knows? Maybe they are doing some crazy construction somewhere down the line and I am just sensitive (like "The Princess and the Pea"). But really - I want to find this darn pea and get rid of it so I can sleep!
I do have a handyman coming tomorrow, and electrician, but after that it's an exorcist or moving.
Suggestions/advice? Thank you so much. It's making me bat**** crazy. Really mental. Awful
