I just looked up an old post from 2010 that I had started on this subject. A very belated 'thank you' to everyone who responded. I thought the responses were so interesting and varied.
Just wondering if anyone else has this issue? I'm currently dealing with sinus issues--mild nasal congestion and a slight headache. But I also feel like I'm in a mild flare.
I did dye my hair yesterday with natural henna and cleaned with diluted tea tree oil. I made sure I had good ventilation, because the tea tree oil, especially, can be overpowering (I just used a few drops in lots of water). The humidity here is super high, too, and I would guess that's a factor.
I did discover, too, that I need to watch my salt and sugar intake more closely. I've had pickles and olives and have just a few tablespoons of ice cream daily with a dab of chocolate sauce. Unfortunately, my body is not happy about
these small treats. Though I don't eat a lot, seems I'm sensitive to both sugar and salt.
Mostly, I wonder what the best remedy is for my sinuses. Sinus tablets seem to dry out my nasal passages too much and don't provide much relief. Irrigation helps somewhat. Steaming helps the most, but it's already so humid in my house!
I've been eating more onions and garlic, too (don't worry--no one currently here that I would breathe on!)
So, I'll try to post the link to the old thread here:

Thanks, and hope everyone is doing well.
