Hi
I had a fever for couple days, had bloods done, no inflammation found.
I have Parkinson's too.
I now have the most chronic pain in my buttocks, legs arms, chest and I'm stiff, can hardly walk.
Dr has done CT of lower spine and xrays of knees and hips, terrible pain in hips.
I'm afraid I'm going to end up in wheelchair.
Dr. Said take lyrica and Endone.
I went to chemist. I've decided not to take those drugs.
Hubby went to chemist and got me some strong Nurofen. Helps ease for hour then back the same.
Help please

Hi, Lee Anne, and welcome! You shouldn’t end up in a wheelchair if you have fibro but it is important to keep moving with this illness. Sitting and laying too much can make you stiff as a board and cause more pain.

If you haven’t aleady, it would be good to see a good board certified rheumatologist and get things like lupus and Lyme disease ruled out. They have many of the same symptoms as fibro but have a different treatment.

It sounds like many of your symptoms are being caused by Parkinson’s Disease. Have you been diagnosed with fibromyalgia? You didn’t tell us that. We do have a Parkinson’s Disease forum on HealingWell so you might want to check over there. But in the meantime, here is a good link that should help with ideas to help yourself with this illness.

Hello LeeAnne. This is just brainstorming for an idea, and I don't mean to say "This is it."
Have you ever read about mast cells? They are one of the several types of immune cells, and have been implicated as participating in PD and in fibromyalgia.

I wonder if you caught a bug, and it further activated your mast cells? Maybe also leading to further glia cell activation, and all of that leading to more neuroinflammation.
