First Issue: I am having a lot of pain in my feet and was wondering if anyone else has this problem w/ fibromyalgia. (Actually, it is in my hands as well ~hurting, ache, feel numb. X-rays taken and hands fine.) If I stand or walk f/ long periods of time, my toes hurt along w/ ball of foot pain. I also have top of foot pain and sometimes feel my shoes are too tight which they're not. I've been to the dr., and an x-ray was taken. Nothing showed. My dr. had me get orthotic inserts to help w/ ball of foot pain. The inserts seem to have helped w/ the ball of foot issue but long periods of walking/ standing continue to be a struggle.
I have tried every brand of shoe I can think of to try. Orthofeet, SAS, Dr. Comfort, Healthy Feet, New Balance, Skechers, Easy Spirit, Aetrex, Clarks, Brooks. They either have too hard a foot bed, too big or too small, too narrow of toe box, arch support way too high, you name it, it's a problem.
I'm sincerely panicking because I have 2 occasions where I need to wear something semi-dressy. Right now, I wear my old Punter Easy Spirit athletic shoes. They are the only shoe I can stand, and they're not the most comfortable at times. I did buy a pair of Taos sandals last year I found very comfortable. Not anymore!!!! Have no idea why!
Second Issue: Does anyone have trouble w/ seating at a restaurant, church, etc...? I am most comfortable in a straight back firm chair with cushioning. If a chair or seating is tilted at the back, it wreaks havoc on my lower back. If the chair is too low, I have trouble getting down to sit. I do carry a cushion I purchased at Wal-Mart f/ chairs that are wooden.
Third Issue: This is SO VERY hard to explain. Does anyone experience a numb-like or pressure feeling in legs, arms, shoulders, or upper back? It is not a tingly feeling. The only way I know to explain in pressure like. It comes and goes and does not hurt. Just annoying.
Last Issue: I find if I do anything out of the norm it sends my body into chaos. I went to the dentist and they had changed chairs. Totally messed w/ my neck for days! That numb-like feeling I explained above. Yesterday, I put a rubber band around a shoe box to return and here we go again w/ that numb feeling in my arms/ hands!
Just helps to release all this wondering to those who know I'm not crazy and do feel these things!
Thank you so much f/ reading
