for 4 years i have many problems endometriosis hysterectomy no thyroids many surgeries 2016 the Dr said I have fibromyalgia I cant work the pain kill me all the time My husband not understand fibromyalgia and now he say he not paid for my Bill's no gas for my car nothing for me I sleep with my daughter he told me he want divorce. he only paid the rent my son help me and my mom,i waiting for social security AlJ decision I know not is easy many appt with rheumatology physical therapy immunotherapies every friday for 1 years.

Hi, Hope, and welcome! I’m so sorry you are going through this. Have you seen a board certified rheumatologist? Is that who diagnosed you? I ask because there are other illnesses with many of the same symptoms as fibro and they need to be ruled out first...things like Lyme disease and lupus. Once they are ruled out, then a diagnosis of fibro is generally given.

What are you taking to help with your pain? I use ibuprofen with food, Tylenol, Vitamin D3, magnesium Malate, and a prescription muscle relaxer called Robaxin (methocarbamol) which has made a significant difference in my pain. Unfortunately what works for one doesn’t necessarily work for another with fibro. It’s more a trial and error type thing. But you will get good ideas on this forum. Once you find what helps with your pain, you just might be able to work.

It sounds like you are in an abusive relationship and that is making your pain worse! It’s terrible when someone you love/loved treats you like that when sickness is not your fault. No one wants to be sick. Stress really plays a part in the pain of fibro and you most certainly have stress off the charts with what is going on in your life. You do need to try over the counter things or prescription medications from your doctor and get relief from your pain. Do keep moving because if you sit or lay too long, you will be stiff as a board and have more pain. Once you find what helps with your pain you just might find you CAN work! Right now it doesn’t seem possible but I know I feel a lot better now than I did when I was first diagnosed with fibro. I went on a hunt trying things to see what helped me the most and you can do this too.

The verbal abuse is bad and I’m sure you are extremely upset about it. I know I sure would be upset!!! Try to ignore him the best you can. If there is also physical abuse, go to a relative’s home or a friend’s home or a shelter. A shelter usually can help you get on your feet again by guiding you to organizations that can help. No one deserves to be treated like you are being treated...especially when you feel physically horrible.

Be sure to read Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. There are links to good I formation about fibro and you will learn a lot there...even some things that could help you.

Hi thanks Sherrine yes I have good rheumatologist I take Vitamin D, ondasentron, dyciclomine,for diverticulitis levothyroxine, inhaler for severe asthma, fatigue,Lyrica,indomethacin for pain, zolpidem others for depression water therapies inmunotherapies injection every Friday and sleep Apneas I use CPAP machine.

If the medication you are prescribed for pain isn’t working, talk to your rheumy and try something different. Why spend the money on something that doesn’t work for you? Ask about Robaxin...the muscle relaxer I use. I get that from my rheumy. I take a fraction of what the prescription says to take and it really does help me.

Hope - I just found this website. I feel for you that you are going through this situation. I find some relief that I am not alone. My husband and I married in May 2015. He has almost always "jokingly" held finances for mostly medical bills over my head. There have briefly been times that I have been bringing in more money, but when he is bringing in more money it does not seem that we have an equal partnership in how that money is used. I left him last September. After couple's counseling and some reconciliation, we are dating again. But this pattern is happening again. I still have no solid diagnosis, no solid treatment plan, and no end date as to when the bills when finally slow down. I honestly have no answers for either your situation, or mine. I just want you to know you are not alone.

Hi, Rosie, and welcome! I’m so sorry you are having hubby problems too. You have enough on your plate with fibro! But is was so kind of you to join in and offer support. I’m sure Hope appreciates it along with others who are lurkers. But know we are here to help you.
