In our last episode of As the Fibro Burns, Norah Fairchild was given two pieces of shocking news from her kinda sorta boyfriend, Steede Toesnapper. It seems that the twins, Dakotah and Destiny were not hers and in fact where her sister Mysty's... Plus, she was her own grandmother!. As she sits in a fibro fog, Steede slithers out the door and heads off to 'visit Mysty. Steede is a very busy man.
Today, we see Norah trying to digest all this information, as none of what Steede told her makes any sense. She gimps towards the bedroom and looks into the two cribs by the side of her bed. In one there is a bowling ball...in the other a head of cabbage. They sure LOOK like Steede.. She sighs and drags herself into the bathroom to wash the apple firtter goo off her hands. Looks in the mirror. Gasps. Has she once again shaved off her eyebrows instead of the hair on her legs? Yes, she has. She draws in a pair with a magic marker. Bette Davis Eyes...very excellent.
She feels the rage brewing inside of her and goes back into the living to call her sister and demand an explanation. She dials her number with the garage door
opener. You can do this on a soap opera.
The viewers see a split screen...and hear that annoyting organ music.
"Hello? This is your sister, Norah Fairchild."
"I KNOW who you are, you moron," Mysty says. Steede is kissing her neck and nibbling on her ear.
"Steede tells me the twins are not mine...they are yours. I KNOW I felt labor pain." Norah whimpers.
"Fibro Flare. Can You spell Fibro Flare? Geesh. Norah...you are such a DUH." Mysty replies.
"Actually, no...no I can't. But that is neither here nor there. Tell me the truth. Is Steede the father?"
Camera zooms to Steede's eyeballs that are bugging out of his head. Uh Oh.
Long, lingering silence. "Steede is the father of Dakotah. Cranston Necksnapper, my chiro, is the father of Destiny."
In complete shock, Norah hangs up the garage door
opener and puts it in the freezer. Steede will be punished. She retrieves a fillet knife from her bread box and begins to cut the plastic covering off her heating pad. She then soaks it in water. She knows Steede...he will return...he always does. She adjusts her earmuffs, pulls her Snuggie tightly around her shoulders and lowers herself into her pile of goose down quilts. Ah, revenge is sweet....this time he will be the one who is 'shocked'.
Organ music and fade to black.
Our next episode: the Electrocution.

Sherrine,
So glad you’re bringing this back. I’m looking forward to each installment of Donna’s genius.
Hope you’re doing well. Don’t over do your work in the garden.
)
God bless. Alice.
