Hi, Boy Boy, and welcome! I had something similar and I did have chest pain But the pain was like I had pulled a muscle. If you aren’t sure what you are feeling, do run it by your PC doctor.
My problem was caused by what is called a frozen shoulder and I worked using Trigger Point Therapy to get my arm working without pain. I could only raise my arm so my hand was at my shoulder…no higher…and I could not put my arm behind my back. If I reached for something I would get a sharp pain shoot down my arm. I purchased The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook and it really helped me a lot. MIT showed where the trigger points can be found and then you press on the “knot” I. The muscle and massage it and then move on. For my arm problem the trigger points started close to the breast bone.if you feel a tender bump, press as hard as you can stand and then massage. Do the twice and then start moving toward your shoulder. I found several along the way and also trigger points on the top of my shoulder and right over the shoulder. I also found trigger points along the side of my neck where the affected arm was. That really surprised me but the workbook mentioned it!
It took me about six weeks to work it all out but now my arm moves perfectly and with no pain. I can reach way over my head and way behind my back so I can touch the middle of my spine with my hand! No way could I do that before.
I have used The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook quite a few times for various parts of my body. I found it on Amazon but I’m sure you can get it elsewhere too.
But again, if you are having chest pains, especially if pain is running down your left arm, see your doctor right away. Those are signs of a heart attack.
I hope this has helped you some.
