Old veteran here with Fibro & Crohns. I visit the Crohn's board more often but felt the need to chime in on this older post. Racking chills with no fever, you asked? I LOVE to put my freezing, "tin man" body into a hot bathtub with Epsom salts anytime I can, most especially first thing in the morning.
Takes the muscle stiffness out (magnesium in the salts), makes me toasty warm, improves my morning mood (coffee first) and gets me loose for the morning stretches/exercise. When I stick to this routine I am able to leave my broomstick in the closet 😊 Now, I am recently retired & have more time for this pampering, however, for those who still have to be in the car by 7a.m., it's worth adjusting your sleep schedule to wake an hour earlier! Please do not adjust your sleep by more than 15 min. per night though until you reach that goal of one hour! You will pay for losing that much sleep per night. Actually, day light savings time would be a great time to adjust into that toasty morning routine! Here's to wishing you a "less" painful day!
