Do you use a mobility cart or scooter when shopping?

I've long considered using a mobility cart or scooter when i go shopping, but I've yet to actually do it. So often, there's either none in the store or someone else is using it/them, too. My husband generally shops with me, so it wouldn't be a problem with him pushing the shopping cart.

I just made a few calls to the local stores where I shop. One has 2 carts/scooters, one had one, and one has none (all of them are small town, family-run stores, so I would guess they don't want to buy more to have available).

So, I'm considering buying a (hopefully) inexpensive mobility cart or scooter---just something to get around on. I know some mobility carts or scooters can run in the $800-plus category, which is way too expensive for me.

Does anyone own or know of something that would be in a lower price range? Or, any other suggestions? Thanks.

I, unfortunately, use them in big box stores all the time. I'm mad at the local Walmart here, 'cause they only have a couple and they're never charged adequately. I do have a BuzzAround 3 wheel scooter for in the house. I got it when I had a melanoma in my lower leg excised and needed it for awhile. I've never taken it outside, but I've been looking for an outdoor one. Yes, they are expensive......especially if you want them for, like, going to a park, etc. The one I got was about $1,100 through Amazon. Yes, they are expensive. But there are a lot of cheaper ones.....but you want the charge to last long enough to make it back home, if you're using it for around the neighborhood. There are a lot of them out there, so just check a lot online. I think BuzzAround has a good reputation. And if you want to take it in the car, look for one that comes apart.........but make sure you or your DH can lift the heaviest part. Yeah, I've seen the foldable one online. Not sure how good they are. Let us know what you decide.
It's a pain going to a big box store and not being able to get through it, if all the carts are taken. I get up real early, and sometimes they are still used up. I wish they realized how much money they make off of us and they should care about helping us get around their stores.

Hi Luzaminis. I hope you're doing well. This is probably too expensive, but I saw it and thought of you. I'm getting frustrated getting to a big box store, and there's no available scooter, so I've been thinking of a foldable one too. I saw this one and it looks fairly easy to lift into the car.
