My goodness, Luvs! I don’t know how you remembered. Thank you so much!

I haven’t been around much because my plate is overflowing. My daughter who lives by me has been having a lot,of major health problems. It started with a heart attack a little over two years ago. 2 stents were put in one artery because it was 100% blocked. Then she was fainting whenever she bent over. It turned out she has some lesions in her lung and one was pushing on her superior vena cava so she wasn’t getting oxygen to her brain. It’s called Superior Vena Cava Syndrome. It took 3 stents to open that up. So she now has 5 stents in her!

Thank goodness Moffitt Cancer Center is close by so she started going there and they have been watching the lesions. They were all benign but last fall one started getting a little larger and a petscan was inconclusive so they wanted to do lung surgery to remove it. She had the surgery in February and the lesion they removed was malignant, They said it was Stage 3 because of its location but all the tissue around it was clean. The other lesions were tested and they still were benign, and her lymph nodes were clean too. So they said they got it all.

But just as a precaution, they are having her do four rounds of chemotherapy. When she has chemo it hits her hard for about 5-6 days so she comes here directly from Moffitt and stays until she gets her strength back and isn’t so nauseous. I obviously am taking care of her. She had chemo yesterday so she is here today. I just made potato soup for dinner and hopefully she will be able to hold some down.

So, as you can see, I’ve been very busy and also praying so much for her. She is very, very precious and has a million friends. I want her to get better and enjoy a long life.

Wow--it sounds like you are super busy helping your daughter! That's so great of you to help out. Our "kids" are always our kids. I'm sure she's very thankful to have such a good mom looking after her.

I hope your health is doing well, with everything going on. These days it seems like so many people are dealing with so much. I do believe that anyone who's not well can recover better just knowing loved ones are near and there for them.

I'll keep your daughter in my prayers and you, as well! Enjoy the weekend. It's cold here and we're having snow showers, though there are a few buds on the trees and the tulips are doing their best to grow. Last week we had 80 degrees, followed by a snowstorm. Life can get a bit crazy!

I’m doing fine. I’ve had to stop ibuprofen for the most part because I’m on blood thinners right now. But I still take it on grocery shopping day. The stores are like warehouses these days so there is a lot of walking so I take ibuprofen that morning and it really helps a lot. I’ve finally gotten used to the new medications and my blood sugar isn’t high anymore. So I’m doing really quite well.

I hope all is fine with you and the rest of our members.

I am not on a lot these days..sorry to hear your daughter is having health issues, but its great you can help her out.there is nothing better than a mothers love and tlc..😊
