valerian root tablets

I have reconsidered taking valerian for sleep, since I have heard so many good things about it and my doc sees no interaction problem. I am interested to know if anyone here has taken it, and in what dosage before bed, or during the day for relaxation. Thank you!

Yes, I have! It works very well!! Don't smeel it. It smells reminiscent of a raunchy sock (lol)! I am sure you will like it very much, and as long as I took it with enough liquid I didn't burp it up. Also, Celestial Seasonings has a Sleepy Time Extra Tea wit valerian in it. It is so good. Try them both.

Steph- thank you for your words! It does truly smell vile!! What was the dosage you took of valerian? I will also try the tea- can I get it at a regular grocery store? Thanks again!
