I went to the Rheumatologist today and was formally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Part of me wants to be happy that I know what's wrong with me, and part of me wants to sit and cry.
I have been struggling with Crohn's Disease for almost 3 years, and now this on top of it. I've been out of work for 4 weeks because of the pain, fatigue, etc.
The Rheumatologist wants me to start with weight loss, exercise, and Physical Therapy. I start Physical Therapy on Monday. How on earth do you exercise when it's hard to walk?
If exercise, weight loss, and PT don't help, then he said there are meds we can try. I have to be careful with certain meds because of Crohn's Disease. It's like a double-edged sword. Right now I just take Tylenol.
Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to getting to know all of you. Blessings, Julie
