Good Morning Sera

My son continues to improve thank God.  He is walking very well now, and the ortho says he doesnt see any problems in the future. His young age and health have played a major role in his recovery.  His hearing is almost totally restored, and the specialist are saying that by end of this year that should be ok too.  It was caused by the brain swelling on the side of his head that was fractured.  Now, he has enrolled in a college about 1/2 from here, to begin courses in gas fitting.  We are so greatful for this outcome, and that he has a renewed zest for life.  I think that he finally realizes that the fact he survived this accident is a miracle, and after losing his younger brother, and his own escape from the accident, his eyes have finally been opened to the fact he has been given a second chance in life.

Thank you so much Sera for caring.  You really are a special lady     I hope you have been feeling well and relatively pain free.

We got snowed in over the weekend....big time!!    Other than that, things are ok at this end too.

Hi Alice,

My sister is doing ok so far....I think reality is setting in for her and her hubby.  I know it took a couple of months before I was able to face losing my son, and after talking to her on Sunday..I could feel it in her voice.  She is worried about her husband, but he is holding up fairly well. She feels her loss was different from mine as her son was in his mid 30's, while Eric had just turned 18.  I really think she will realize soon, that a loss is a loss no matter how old they are.  He was their only child, I cant imagine how much harder that would be.
