I have been staying in pretty much with the cold weather. But last night I decided to go and visit a friend. She only lives about
a mile away so I figured "what can it hurt".
I swept off my truck and warmed it up good and went to visit for a couple of hours.
When I was leaving, it was pretty nasty and she told me to wam up the truck and come back in. But I was too stubborn. I decided since it wasn't very far, I could make it in a cold vehicle. Boy was I wrong.
I got so cold that my muscles in my body all tensed up. I could not relax for the life of me. I stood by the stove at home with my warm coat on and gloves and still was cold. I took a muscle relaxer to try to combat the tense muscles in my back and neck.
Finally my husband mentioned my bed buddy. So I warmed it up in the microwave and placed it on my lower back by my kidneys and could feel the blood heating up and going through my body. Then I put it around my neck and fell asleep in the reclyner.
That helped until the bed buddy cooled off. So I heated it up again and did the same thing over, eventually I took it to bed with me.
This morning, I ache worse than I have for a long time. I feel like I have been hit by a truck. I am hopeing that this will subside throughout the day as I get moving around. But it is pretty bad pain.
Has anybody else been through this with the cold?
Just wondering.
Luv and hugs, Karen
