Yes, Cathy, I'm in the high normal range. He checked for gout because I have a toe that is swollen and it's painful to walk. But, with gout, if left untreated, it will go away in 10-14 days. I've had this going on six months! Don't know what it is. He gave me something for gout but I'm not taking meds for something I may not have. If my uric acid was out of the normal range, I would have taken the med. But, it can cause digestive problems and I have enough of that with Crohn's. UGH! Can't win for losing! 
I have an appointment next Monday to see him. This is one of my questions. I'll let you know what he has to say.
