         Hello, I have fiibro and restless leg syndrome, crohns. I just had a resection for the crohns. I was wondering if any one else has leg cramps so bad u can't sleep till u just are exhausted. My dr has me on skelaxin for the fibro, but i haven't had any relief. I have to constantly keep moving my legs at night and am miserable. What kinds of meds does everyone else take?

My Rheumatologist put me on Flexeril for restless leg syndrome. It has helped alot, although I still get bothered by it every once in a while. I am also on some pain meds, but don't know if they help or not with my legs.

I understand how you feel. Restless legs can just about drive a person nuts. I would always try stretching them, walking around, etc. and nothing worked. It got to where I just wanted to sit down and cry.

I would call your doctor first thing tomorrow, maybe he will call you in a prescription to help you. Good luck!

I have been diagnosed with RLS and have gone for periods of time without it driving me crazy.  But for the last year I have had it ALL the time...even in the daytime, mainly in my calves and feet.  They crawl and feel like they are wrapped tight in an ace bandage.  Because of my other meds, Rheumy gave me valium to take at night as he said Mirapex or one of those would be so sedating that I wouldn't be able to function. I have a friend that takes Kolonapin for it, and it works for her.  I have found that if I wear knee socks, the sensations aren't as noticible...isn't that weird???
