What have you given up due to Fibro?

I have given up my career, going to the mall and all other stores that don't have an electric wheelchair. I have one myself, but I don't have the ability to put the carrier on the car and still get the garage door to close.

I have given up house cleaning and everything that requires standing and walking. I have to sit always. I use to be able to move around the sprinklers every hour or so in the lawn during the summer months. Can't do that now. My legs hurt so badly too. I have given up a lot of happiness and happy thoughts to this DD and I fight depression every day.

I have lost interest in daily grooming. I wear the same things for days and don't wear make up very often. My hair is neglected as well. I'm a mess!!

I just had a new granddaughter and I refuse to give up my ability to hold her, but to be honest, I have to put her down after a while. The weight gets to my arms. She gives me renewed spirit though and I just love her and her four and a half year old sister dearly
