I have a lot of thigh pain also. But I also have bad knees and wonder if I over compensate for that which causes my thighs to ache.
Try stretching your thigh muscles. I bet that will help to losen them up. My pain is mostly in the quadrocepts. I forgot to mention that, I still consider it part of the thigh.

I think this is it in a nutshell with over compensating. I'm finding some comfort in knowing that it is part of fibro and not something else!!
