I can't walk today

Complain away. You deserve support. I do not walk very much due to fibro pain. Well rest your body parts and have another doughnut.

I hope you're feeling a bit better today. I agree with everyone else-come here and vent all you need!!! I feel the same way as you-when I come here and talk things over with all of the wonderful people, I don't dump on my family, which makes things better for everyone. My family cares, but they don't really understand. I think that really the only people who can understand fibro are those who have it. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have this place!

As for the donuts-oh, I feel you on that one. I am an emotional eater, too and it is such a hard habit to break. I don't think there's anything wrong with "falling off the wagon" once in awhile, though. Sometimes you just gotta eat a donut (or two!) and that's just how it is! Nothing wrong with that at all. :)

Thanks everyone, I am really sick now, I can barely get up and the pain was so bad lastnight that I actually cried in front of my family. Which I never do. It just happened. I can't breath well, and I am so dizzy, funny story;I was walking with my cane and when I brought my other foot forward I stubbed my toes right through the middle of the cane. I just broke. It hurt I couldn't walk and I just bawled. It is funny, but I was frustrated. I thankyou for the support of the donuts, I had so much guilt over that, and of course I weighed myself this morning and had gained 2lbs over those donuts seriously. Oh well, going to go laydown now, having trouble sitting up.

I don't know if any of you all ever saw a Movie called "Stuart saves His Family". It was available at video stores a few years back. Basically, Stuart has a spending addiction, sis has an eating addiction, Dad a drinking addiction brother; whatever he can get his hands on addiction and mom, of course was Co-dependent. Anyway, apparently, brother took Dad on a hunting trip, Dad got hammered and shot brother. Stuart receives his notification at home, in bed, depressed and wolfing down everything that doesn't move. As Sis delivers the news," Dad shot Donnie," Stuart says, "now sis, take it easy, can you make your way to a pound cake"? I loved it.  we

all have those weak moments. Walmart makes this hugh Swiss Milk Chocolate bar, like two pounds of chocolate. I watched an entire episode of Dr. Phil with that big ole bar just hanging out of my face. I didn't even realise until I started to feel ill. "What are you doing?" Screams rational I."Just a little chocolate," says emotional I.

Baloo - don't worry too much about the 2 pounds. It is normal for a woman's body to fluctuate up to 5 pounds a day. So you stubbed your toe on your cane and broke your cane? Sheesh! What luck. Sounds like that guy . . . what's his name? Murphey! Murphey's law!!

Baloo, we all have those moments when something happens that sends us over the edge and into tears. A good cry is healthy and I wouldn't worry about crying in front of your family.

 

A few years ago I hit a shelf with my head, while trying to clean, and knocked off a musical teapot that I loved and broke it and it put me in tears. DH walks in and asked, "are you hurt or are you crying because you broke the teapot"??? Through my sobs I said, "both".

 

Don't beat yourself up over the donuts. Today is a new day and you will do better today and eat healthy.

dear Baloo; This has nothing to do with clumbsy Fibrofog or doughnuts. It has to do with your daughters cirriculum. The Board of Education here, posts the cirriculum for all grade levels to facillitate homeschooling. They also have a correspondence program for students who are ill or cannot attend for other reasons.  Good Luck, and know we all feel for you. I think if you go online to Health, Education and Human Services Department of Government, you might find links.
