Hi Mammaw and welcome. I have only had steroid injections into my knee and shoulder joints for inflammation issues. Since fibro is not considered an inflammatory problem technically steroids shouldn't help with a flare. Myself, I believe anytime you have a problem with your body such as an injury or illness, it increases your fibro symptoms. The steroids probably helped your bronchitis which in turn maybe helped decrease the flare brought on by the illness. I do know from what my doctors have told me that sometimes meds that "shouldn't" work for a particular situation actually do and they don't understand why so maybe steroid injections could help you more long term. Just remember that steroids do come with their own set of problems and side effects. Good luck and let us know if you do take anymore for fibro and what happens.
