 ... I wonder how in the world I get thru them. But I do! The body is a funny machine. Its amazing the effects of getting older on top of CP. I was 22yrs old when I first got hurt. Now its been almost 7yrs and I can feel the effects more now then when it first happened.

 

I can't help but to wonder what the next 7yrs will be like if its progressed this much. I hate feeling 50 when Im not.... I want to do soooo many things in life but feel strapped to a darn bottle. Me and DH will be celebrating our 10th annvry.... and we seem to be the only couple to have no kids. I'll also be going to me 10 year High School reunion.... will people pitty me or envy me for not having kids in my 20's ?

 

I want to be young , cause I am. I want to have kids b/c it my human right as a woman too! Will me body ever let me?

Hi Jess,

I just wanted to let you know I'm listening. 

I'm 51 and I feel like I'm 81.  (actually my mom's 81 and she gets around better than I do on somedays).  I have other friends that are the same age as me and they can do so much more than I can.  So I know how you feel.

I hope you have a better day.. I wish I had some answers but I sure have lots of support!!

I am 33 and I was never married or had kids. That isn't the only accomplishment for a women. You are happily married for ten years, that is huge!!! and amazing. I promise most of the other people at the reunion will envy you. People should more often have kids older so they are prepared and mature to do so. You are breathing and living, sometimes that in and of itself is amazing. You have yet to give up on your pain and let it eat you alive. Another huge accomplishment. I am sure you have many more also. Be happy for being you and I promise most of the class you see will be overweight, miserable, divorced and have aged way too quickly. The grass is only greener on the other side because they have better fertilizer. Hope you have a pain free day.

Thanks Patti/Moon! 

I really needed to hear those things Moon! Made my day and made me laugh. I've been down in the dumps for the last few weeks. Since my dr's secetary tells me "We're only give on narcodic now". I don't even know if this was something my dr requested or something she felt like saying to be a you know what. My body is use to a certain amount and its not fair to cut me off  without a understandable reason or proper weening. Im going to call the office tomorrow, I shouldn't have to suffer. Anywho....

Im so thankful for great people on here and helpful advice. It really makes a difference in someones life to come to a place where you feel normal, cause everyone understands!

Im going to take baby steps improving myself. Im going to set reachable goals and embrace the journey.

Hi Rene,

 

I am glad that you find it so supporting here, we all know what you are going through and can sympathise with you.  I hope that I spelled that right.  It doesn't look right to me. 

You are young, I was about 42 when I got fibro so I got to enjoy the younger years without pain and fatigue.  It is so hard when realize the things that you cannot do anymore.  But remember you have aged in the meantime too.  So things do change anyway regardless of the fibromyalgia.  But I can truly understand how you feel.  I have had mine pretty much under control for a while now, no flares.  And I hope it stays that way.  I am kind of afraid to say that, in case I jinx myself.

Know that I am thinking of you and hope that you have a wonderful painfree day.

Heck, I did not have my children until I was in my 30s and boy am I glad I waited. Con sider yourself fortunate. Yes, I enjoyed every minute of my life with young children and still have fun with them as adults.

However, rearing them in Western Society is difficult. Children have become an either an after thought or trophies on display. One should only be a parent if committed or, has maternal feelings. Not all parents do.

Enjoy your life.
