Hospital All morning

So I had pain in my leg yesterday, different than my fibro, and felt I better have it checked out. I spent 4 hours at the hospital with tests. They did blood work and it looks like I have a clot.  So they checked my leg and its not there, so I have to do a chest scan on Wed.  They wanted to do it sooner but I just couldn't. So I'm not allowed to exercise and I know I shouldn't be upset about it, but I have gained 4lbs and it took me a year and half to loose 70lbs.  My husband said he was surprised I listened and didn't exercise. Yeah, well, I do want to live too.  So anyhow.. just wanted to write.

Wow, that must of been scary! So glad you took yourself into the hosp. Hang in there on not exercising, docs orders ya know. You take it easy, k.

Wow, what a day you've had!  I'm so glad you went and got it checked out.  With fibro, it's so hard to tell sometimes what is and isn't just run of the mill fibro stuff.

Hi Baloo: I hope all works out for you. Gaining 4 lbs. is nothing if you lost 70. It is quite common for a woman's weight to fluctuate by 2 lbs each way. You also have maybe a build-up of waste matter in bowel due to lowered activity levels, which can cause weight to rise. I am sure all will even out once you begin to exercise again. If you want to beat it, eat Activia with fibre. Does it for me, everytime.

Sometimes it is so hard to separate out the Fibro symptoms from whatever else might be lurking. If I went in everytime I thought I was about to have a heart attack, i would get labelled a hypochondriac. Already, my pdoc, who doesn't believe in Fibro, at all, calls me an addict. I said whatever. I told him I would check in to detox. No problem. Once all the parent's business, bills, property and life insurance is straightened out. My Dad asked me to do this before his alzheimers got really bad and I intend to finish what I started. Then I will happily check in to detox. A medication holliday. I take those willingly, anyway because the meds work much better when you go off of them for a bit. He seems to think I oughta grab myself by my bootstraps and straighten up. Like I wouldn't if I could. Duh!

If you are still having breathing problems and not feeling well, I'd head back to the hospital.  It's better to be safe than sorry.  I hope you are reading this right now and feeling much better.  We will be waiting to hear from you.  Saying an extra prayer for you.

"Dear Baloo: i really feel for you going all through that. The legal system is so about filing paperwork and so not about human beings. I went through a terrible time after my husband/sperm donor, refused to pay Child Support b/c he claimed he wanted joint custody, but we could never locate him to get him served. So several years went by with no child support. I had to work two jobs as I needed the money when I would prefer to have spent more time with the children. They, deadbeat dads and in your case worse, an abuser, shouldn't have any rights to their children unless they contribute emotionally, and financially. If a person doesn't produce signed paperwork within a reasonable time, a warrant should be put out on them. That's how I feel. When I have so many problems, and am so tired and cannot sleep, I put a little "worry doll' under my pillow. Psychologically, it relieves me of responsibility for solving problems for eight hours and allows sleep to be peaceful. I hope everything works out well for you.

I m good, they said I have inflammation and I am getting sick so thats why my number was up. My doc looked at my leg and said it was having severe muscle spasms. That the nurse/doc that saw me shouldn't of panic and sent me thru those tests. At least i can excersice again after i get this leg muscle stretched. Thanks everybody.

Baloo, I am new here but read all of your posts.  I am so sorry you have been having so many problems.  Thank God you were only having a muscle spasm in your leg.  It's better to be safe than sorry.  I know I've had my visits to the ER... several.  It's no fun.  You will be in my prayers.  Feel better!!
