ARRRG!!! I Can't Believe It!!!

Hi Friends..

ARRRG!!!  I can't believe what happened to me today.. Its very windy here today in N//E Indiana and chilly. 

As I was leaving the grocery store today a gust of wind came along as I was juggling my bags and purse and suddenly the extra cash that I got when I was in the store ($100.00) just up and blew away... I think my purse toppled over and the flap fell open and WHOOSH it was GONE!!!   It blew away sooo fast.. I threw what I had in my hands on the ground and started chasing it through the parking lot but I couldn't catch it.  It wouldn't have mattered if I was a track star or a fibromite, I never would have been able to catch it..  you see it was 5 twenty dollar bills and they were blowing in every direction. 

Now that I ran all over the Walmart parking lot, by the way I never did get a single bill back, I'm in Excruciating pain. WHAAAH!!!  Running as fast as you can and bending over at the same time is NOT a good idea.. even if you don't have fibro and a really bad back. 

I can't tell my husband .. I just can't let him know I did something that stupid!!!  I know it couldn't have been helped and stuff like this happens all the time, but my husband isn't very understanding about losing money for no good reason.

Of all times, this is the worst, to just let  $100.00 just blow away.  Most of you know I'm not working right now.. so that's a huge loss for me.

Ok.. I just needed to tell someone, I don't like keeping things like that from hubby.. so I had to tell someone.

Thanks for listening .. I'm gonna go make some cookies & a fancy dinner and try to make myself feel better.. but I'm sure that's just gonna hurt like hell, but at least I'll have a good reason for hurting.  Sheeeesh!!!!!

Patti, I am so sorry, I hope your husband will understand. I know what that is like having to tell him something so absurd has happened. We beat ourselves up enough & it is hard to have someone else do it too. Take care of yourself, a hot bath & curl up with a good book. I hope you don't flare from this. I know what $100.00 means, I am not working either. Just like the wind, let it go. OK? No use crying over spilt milk, as my Mom used to say. Gentle hugs, Denise

Patti, I'm sorry it happened, but like Sherrine said, there are some happy ppl out there, maybe it was just God's way of ensuring a homeless person was able to eat that day. It wasn't your fault by any means, so don't let it get you down.

Aaack! I am so sorry you are hurting, and I know how devestating it is to lose that kind of money to something so silly. Maybe this little story will give you a positive spin on the situation:

My best friend, my sister, my rock is a young woman from TN who last year around this time was in a really bad situation. Due to her lifestyle choices her family had disowned her, she had no job, and an abusive husband. We had met online through one of my friends that lives close to me. After some time talking it was decided we had to get her out of there, it was a bad situation all around. Problem was she had no money, and we weren't exactly full of the stuff ourselves. On a Tuesday last March she decided she couldn't handle it anymore because she was basically going to be living in her car. She drove to Wal-Mart outside of town trying to figure out what to do. In the parking lot was a $20 bill. She picked it up and decided in that moment she was going to drive from TN to WA. Was it crazy and incredibly dangerous? You bet, but it was also very brave.

She called us up and told us she was on her way. After determining that she was dead serious we pooled together and started selling off things we didn't need on craigslist and finding other ways to scrimp out some money. We started wiring money to her at various Wal-Marts along the way. Another friend of hers from online made arrangements for a hotel for her one night after she had been on the road a couple of days. It took her about 5 days, but she made it. Her car died not long after she got here, but it didn't matter. A year later and I don't know what I would do without her here.

So I guess you can think of how your 20 dollar bills could be changing someone's life right now. I know that doesn't bring you your money back, but maybe it will bring a smile to your face.

awwwwwwwww Patti, I am soooooo sorry.  I am hopeful hubby will understand.  Am sorry you are hurting too.  You take care, and try not to worry too much.

Ya know, I thought a lot about it after the bills went flying.. just like Sherrine, Mrs C and EK said, hopefully someone who needed it more than me wound up with it.  I'm going to try to think that way.. sort of like a donation.  **sigh** If nobody picked it up yet.. it probably blew to New York by now.

Patsie... I made a chicken dish with a cream w/ sherry sauce, loaded with mushrooms, rice pilaf, green beans and some really good italian bread.  I also made oatmeal cookies (hubby's favorite... hmmm, wonder when I'm gonna tell him??  I think right after he takes a big bite of one of those cookies will work!! )  Oh yeah and Patsie, I hope I'm YOUR waiter someday!! LOL!!

Thanks for being there everyone.  I don't usually whine.. but this time.. I NEEDED IT!!
