Yes, starting about 4 years ago. Before I knew I had fibro. Ended up with a hysterectomy when they found endometriosis and adenomyosis in 2006. Just over a year ago I had really bad pelvic pain and drove myself to ER - had diverticulitis! Five days on IV antibiotics and no food and it cleared up, thankfully.
about 3 months ago I thought I had diverticulitis again, but after a CT scan and seeing a surgeon, no one could figure out what it was. One doc thought appendicitis and another though diverticulitus but it was neither. Resolved itself, mostly, but I still get stabs now and then.
Are you talking about lower abdominal, like pelvic or higher near your belly button?
I think mine pains are possibly mild IBS. Already tested negative for the bladder one...interstitial cystitus? The other possiblility is scar tissue and/or adhesions from the endometriosis and/or the hysterectomy.
The most recent bout threw me into such a depression because I spent over a year the first time, before I finally convinced the 3rd OBGYN I saw to do an endoscopy and he found the endometriosis and chronic PID (cause by the endometriosis). Finally, I had a diagnosis. Unfortunately, it was not the final word, but that was such a frustrating and depressing time making the rounds of specialists and getting no answers. I did not want to go through that again. I was so glad the pain mellowed out this time.
Anyway, there are so many possible causes, and sometimes no cause can be found, so I would say sometimes fibro pain manifests as abdominal pain.
Just my 2 cents!
