Wasn't it just yesterday that I was saying how great I was doing and trying to go back to work? JINX!!!!

Last night we had a flood in our laundry room and I was helping mop up and pulling heavy wet sheets/towels off the floor or out of the washer. This morning I am DEBILITATED with pain! My neck and back (right side) are a MESS! Even my jaw and cheekbone on that side kill today. I've taken my normal Tramadol (which was rendering me pain-free) and also Tylenol AND Advil. Tried ice, then heat.,,

darn it!

(Note to self: don't get too smug about it - you still have a disability)

I'm sorry K9!!! What a mess that must have been, I hope it was in the basement and not main floor. I've been feeling a little smug too and I'm paying dearly for it today. Guess we need to keep our mouths shut and enjoy in silence while it last.

Oh K9 I am so sorry. The emotional side of that flood just put your body in a state. who wouldn't have gone in to pain.

However, do not forget how major your surgery was. I have just been amazed at you. I did not rebound anything like you!!!!

Oh, K9!  I'm sorry you had to deal with that mess.  I'd have others do the heavy stuff next time.  Mopping is hard but not as hard and lifting heavy, wet sheets.  But, after a few days of rest, hopefully you will be back feeling much better.

Ya - unfortunately there were no "others" to do anything. My husband is also disabled (from birth) and he was killing himself with the wet-vac. We have a housekeeper do all our vacuuming, but what can you do at 10:30 at night with 2 inches of water on your floor?

Today I managed to get all my work emailed to home, and I'm sitting in my chair with A535 rub and heat. Bah!

Aww,

I am so sorry. I am glad that you can work at home today. However, you will need the weekend to recuperate.

I have come to the realization that whether I do anything different or not, I can flare.

So take deep breaths. Life happens.

It's my understanding that most of my life's problems have to do with water... Floods in the basement, drains that don't work, leaks in the basement walls, leaks in the trailer roof, rain filling up the boat so we had to replace the floor... TWICE!, mildew in the bathroom, you name it... there is water behind it! Can't live without it but man! Too much is such a problem, too!

lol Jeannie - so true. Your post made me think of people in 3rd world countries where water is not a human right but a commodity to be bought and sold by evil multi-national corporations. It's horrible. Bad enough that people in developing countries have clean drinking water for free, yet buy it in bottles!

On another unrelated note...I'M BETTER TODAY! Woo hoo! As in...totally back to normal. Well, after the meds kicked in this morning anyway:)
