Wishing the word would be spread and understood like other debilitating disorders. The search for a cause, which would lead to a cure needs funding if we are to have hope of ending this pain. Spread the word and if we're lucky someone famous will get fibro and speak out. That seems to be the way money starts rolling in. I'm not saying this to be down or to slam anyone, just seem to be the facts as I see them.
Here's hoping the cure comes quickly on this Fibromyalgia Awareness Day. Remember, if anyone wants a free ribbon...and yep, they are truly free with no strings attached...just email me at chutz at chutz dot org or click on the little envelope under my name over there. <---- We don't keep names nor ask for anything. This is a free gift from your moderators because we need a care deeply for all of the fibro family members. To read more and see a picture of the ribbons go to the Fibro 101 link at the top of the forum page. It's all there.
Blessings!
Chutz

I walked for about
3/4 of a mile, and collected $60.00. Not much, but I feel like I did something. Maybe next year I'll get a team together.

I will be wearing my ribbon today, not that I will be going very many places. I agree with Chutz, if Oprah got fibro we would never have to explain this to anyone again cause the whole world would know what fibro is and how bad it is and can you imagine the money for research it would generate. Not that I would wish this on Oprah or anyone else.
luv and hugs
Marlee
