Hi everyone Well I went to the SS office and took a # waited 25min. My # got called and I was just going to ask for some info and the forms and this lady started asking me questions and she was typing away and then she went to a printer put everything in an envolope and told me I have a phone interview in two weeks at 10am and read and follow the instructions in the folder.

So I went home and looked at the folder and it said the following must be mailed today.

How in the #@##@ am I going to get all the stuff mailed today???

All I wanted was information and the paperwork on what I need to do, she asked me if I was working and I said yes Im working part time but wont be very soon.

All I wanted was info.

Now what do I do.

Ed, when I applied for Social Security Disability I had the interview first. It was a long phone interview. Then I received all the paperwork and started to fill it all out and got it off to them. I notified all of my doctors and had them send my records to wherever I was told. I just followed all instructions thoroughly. Then they sent me to their own doctors to be checked out. Once I finished that, they told me that they would get in contact with me. I was accepted the first time. But, I was a school teacher and I now have a severe hearing problem along with fibro and a few other things. There is no way I can teach with my hearing so bad. So, maybe that's why I got it so quickly.

So, my suggestion is to carefully follow all instructions and be totally honest with your responses. Don't make it better than it really is but definitely don't exaggerate either. They can spot that a mile away! I wish you the best of luck and hopefully you will get it quickly.
