I started this new thread because I will be deleting the post on the controversial thread.  There will be more responses this way, too!
Painter,

I have been taking Cyclobenzaprine(Flexeril) a muscle relaxer for over a year now,
but i only take it if I am staying home for the day. I won't drive while I am on it. It
really helps take the edge off the pain.

Have you ever tried Amrix? It is the new (and of course expensive) slow release flexeril. Regular flexeril completely knocks me out, but on the amrix I just felt a little more tired than usual. So, if you tolerate flexeril well and it helps, amrix might work really well for you. I had to go off of it because my heart rate increased - I have very frequent pvc's (16,000 a day) so my heart is sensitive. Just wanted to pass this on!

Thanks for the info, upbeat. Yeah the regular flexeril zaps me too. I'll have to check it out
the Amrix. I am a littled concerned because my resting heart beat is normally high.
Today it was 116.

With a heart rate of 116 it may not be for you!! I have always heard of heart conditions related to cfs/me, but it seems a lot of us have issues too.

Hara - I was just picturing your head spinning :) - that is how I have felt switching from Lexapro to Savella!

I literally had to put a note on my door telling the neighbors I was sick and had a headache and to keep the noise down and to be considerate of others. We shall see if I have a quieter weekend. Oh and my headaches are back with a vengance.
