So I have a creek that runs next to my house that has a wall by it (so people dont fall into it) but the local teenagers like to sit on the wall and "hang out". Mostly a no big deal except that once in awhile they litter and about 2 weeks ago they left a pile of fast food garbage from the "golden arches". It had been pouring here and I wasnt up to picking it up until today...2 weeks later, and wouldnt you know it, the paper was all disintegrated, the boxes everything EXCEPT those left over french fries were preserved as if they were dipped in formaldehyde! smhair
Now Im not one to spread rumors but.... devil lol Somehow those fries arent looking quite so much like food to me anymore! lol

I don't think they ever were food!  I think they are an edible product that you can become addicted to.  I wonder if they are FDA approved?  tongue   

I'm fortunate that greasy foods make me ill so I don't go the fast food route but I know so many people that do and it does affect your health.

I found it really interesting that the paper was nearly disintegrated!  I guess you need to take a shovel with you next time for the fries.  smilewinkgrin

This reminds of the study they did a few years ago where they fed half the lab rats Fruit Loops

and the other half the box and the ones that ate the box lived longer!

Petrified McD's french fries...yummy.  I imagine what they must do to your arteries!

Hey, Lost in Philly!!!  Save those fries next time and bring them to my next virtual party!  I'm sure they will travel well!  LOL

Ewww! And I am one who is addicted to those things! That pretty much ruins it for me! A good thing, I know! :)
The ditch by the road, in front of our house seems to be the spot where people like to pitch beer bottles, and food wrappers out their window! :( Makes me so mad! What a mess!

I think it says something if the fries were not eaten by rodents or birds in that amount of time. idea

Admittedly I have a weakness for friend from either Wendy's or Jack In The Box, but the McD fries have always scared me. I had a hunch that they weren't even really food. lol

i remember finding weeks old Mac D's french fries under the seats in our car. My children had left them there. They were fully formed and looked like the day we purchased them.

However, my greatest addiction is to french fries.
