Do you feel steroid injections in the rest of your body?

Hi all,
Man, if it isn't one thing, its two.
I found out recently I have a very painful Morton's neuroma in the ball of my foot. I had a steroid injection in it 2 days ago. I know the med is supposed to stay in that area, but I have been feeling really wired, and having wide mood swings. Anyone else ever notice that with steroid injections??

I had the injection into a morton's neuroma in my foot and didn't notice any general symtoms. The shot did work though - it has been almost two years and I am still fine!

Different story when I had injections into both piriformis muscles, after those shots I had night sweats for a month.

I have had multiple steroid injections into my knee and shoulders and I don't recall having any systemic symptoms. Hope you are feeling more settled very soon. Lisa

I assume it was a cortisone injection? Cortisone reactions are fairly common. Even if you've had injections before with no problems, you can have a reaction any time. You can search "Cortisone reactions" and find more information. You also might want to mention it to your doctor before any future injections.

Hopefully it is at least giving you relief from the pain in your foot.

Thanks everyone,
I didn't realize these reactions were so common. It just makes me feel like I've drank 2 gallons of strong coffee. Its not a good feeling.
